The MTN Ghana Foundation, which manages these initiatives, has implemented various projects to improve the quality of life and foster development in the region.

​1. Education ​Infrastructure: The foundation has constructed school blocks and ICT centers to improve educational facilities.
​Scholarships: MTN has provided scholarships to brilliant but needy students across Ghana, which would include beneficiaries from the Ashanti Region.
​Innovation Hub:
MTN has partnered with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi to establish an Innovation Hub.
This partnership aims to promote and enhance research and innovation in the field of telecommunications.
- Health:
​Maternity and Healthcare Facilities: MTN has contributed to improving healthcare facilities.
A notable project is the construction of a 20-bed maternity block, fully furnished with medical equipment and furniture for the Ejisu Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region.

The annual “Save a Life” campaign, a nationwide blood donation exercise, addresses blood shortages at national and regional hospitals, including those in the Ashanti Region.
​3.Economic Empowerment:
​Support for Businesses: MTN has launched initiatives to support micro and small businesses, with beneficiaries in the Ashanti Region receiving training, business development support, and seed funding.
​Oil Palm Production:
The company has committed to constructing and equipping a processing plant for women in oil palm production at Juaso in the Ashanti Region.
​4. General Impact (​MTN Heroes of Change):
The “MTN Heroes of Change” project identifies and recognizes individuals who are making a positive impact in their communities.
This nationwide initiative has likely recognized and supported change-makers within the Ashanti Region, providing them with resources to expand their projects.
