The youth in Ejura Sekyedumase say they are prepared to “kill” any Fulani people who sets foot in the area.
The young men predominantly from a town in the area called Hiawoanwu say Fulani herdsmen are trying to take over the area; a situation they will never allow.
They tell rawgist.com’s Dabre Abdul Rauf that a Fulani man shot a man on his farm and short another who was part of a group that had gone to verify the said shooting. This situation has infuriated the youth who say they are now “ready” for the Fulani herdsmen.
Assembly man for the area Hon. Yakubu Ibrahim, tells rawgist.com the Fulani people are so dangerous that it is difficult for residents to go to their farms alone.
“One of those shot by the herdsmen, is receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Hospital in Kumasi”, rawgist.com learnt but couldn’t be sure about the whereabouts of the second person who was shot.
