We will be resolute – Suame Chairman flays NDC

NPPThe Suame Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party,(NPP) Mr Kennedy Atta Marfo has rubbished claims by some members of the National Democratic Congress,(NDC) that they would wrestle the constituency seat from the incumbent Member of Parliament and Minority leader, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu in the upcoming parliamentary election in November 7th.

He said the NPP was very resolute in maintaining the grip on the seat since indications on the ground points to an even larger margin of votes for it in the upcoming general elections.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper in Kumasi, the constituency chair explained the party was in the process working to stretch the gap between them and the ruling NDC.

He revealed the party was focused to prosecuting a grass-root campaign so as to win every home in the constituency to the fold of the NPP.

STRATEGY:
According to him, the Suame branch was currently occupied with the thought of working hard to ensure it galvanized at least 90% of the popular votes in the presidential and parliamentary polls in November.

He disclosed the party had designed a door to door strategy, adding such would be used to reach every home with the NPP’s message.

”We are resolute in our efforts to using a door to door approach to ensuring that we galvanize massive votes for our presidential candidate and parliamentary candidate”, Mr Marfo stressed with confidence.

INTIMIDATION:
He laughed off attempts by the ruling party to flood the constituency with stoutly built men also known as ‘macho-men’ to ensuring it intimidates residents in the community.

He disclosed the NPP was ready to counteract this negative plot with the application of intelligence.

”The NPP sees elections as the use of intellectual power to achieving results rather than the deployment of muscles to achieving same”, the Constituency Chair reiterated.

He noted it had won the elections in the Suame Constituency fairly and squarely and had never deployed anything untoward in achieving that unenviable feat.

”We will win the upcoming polls with even bigger margin than previously since this NDC government has only worked to impoverish the people of Suame”, Mr Marfo stressed.
