Western North region to get more CHPS compounds-Director of Health Services

The Western North Regional Director of Health services, Dr. Mrs Marion Okoh Owusu has assured the people in the region that plans are underway by government and the Ghana Health Service to establish another  CHPS compound aside the existing ones  at Ntakam , Akaaso and Akaasu in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality.

Mrs Okoh Owusu brought this to bare during the handing over ceremony of CHPS compounds in the above mentioned communities for use .

She said her outfit will soon register the facility as a CHPS facility with midwives and further urged residents to patronize the facility regularly without accessing basic health care outside the area, adding that Covid-19 is still around therefore the need to practice all the protocols.

The MCE; Hon. Alfred Amoah was thankful to President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo for his good works since he took over power .

He urged the nurses to take good care of the facility and also respect the Chief, his elders and the entire community as they discharge their duties.

Hon. Alfred Amoah further requested the community members to also treat the nurses well.

Nana Kwabena Nketia ll , Chief of Sefwi Akaasu in his speech expressed profound gratitude to Mr Gyimah who first gave out his house free of charge for years till date when some nurses first came to inquire from them if they could get some apartment to begin health care delivery in the town .

He also thanked Hon. Aboagye Gyedu; former MP, Hon Alfred Amoah; MCE for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai for their efforts and Western North Regional Director of Health services; Dr. Mrs. Marion Okoh Owusu and her staff.
