We lost because the NPP was intimidated-Minority leader

osei-kyeiMinority leader, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu says the NPP’s defeat in the Talensi by-election is due to intimidation of her members during the elections.

According to him,the first vice National chairman of the party,Freddy Blay was hospitalized in the Upper East region after he was attacked by some members of pro-NDC group Azorka Boys.

He said this on the Royal morning show with Sir Richmond Antwi Boasiako.

Hon. Mensah Bonsu said it was suprising to hear such incident in Ghana’s political history.

‘‘I was surprised to hear that the security personnel who retrieved the deadly weapons from the various vehicles at Tongo only took away the weapons and left the possessors free’’ he lamented.

He further stated that the verdict of the electorates were corrupted since majority of the electorates were supplied with rice, fertilizers and money.

He also blamed the EC for late provision of basic information to the NPP prior to the elections.
