President of the National House of Chiefs; Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II

The National House of Chiefs is asking “all dissatisfied candidates or political parties to endeavor to seek redress by using the laid down processes and procedure for the settlement of electoral disputes”

The august house also wants leaders of such dissatisfied parties to urge the members and supporters to remain calm and act within the law.

These were contained in a statement signed by President of the house; Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II and addressed to all media houses.

He praised the conduct of the just ended General Elections and commended the various stakeholders. “It is pertinent to state that there are no winners and losers in this election, it is Ghana that has won and everyone should be very proud of it”, the statement said.

The house called on all Ghanaians to remain calm while they liaise with other stakeholders to find  a lasting solution to the ongoing impasse.
