Agitated nurses who have threatened a strike over unpaid 17 months salary will soon have the monies hit their accounts.

Ultimate fm has intercepted confidential letter from the office of the finance ministry which contains their clearance signed by the chief director at the ministry of finance; Major (RTD) M.S. Tara.

The Unpaid Nurses and Midwives Association in Kumasi threatened to go on strike to protest what they describe as unfair treatment by management.

The nurses and midwives numbering about 200 say they have not been paid for the past 16 months and efforts to get the situation resolved have been fruitless. Meanwhile a copy of clearance form available to ultimate fm shows these nurses will soon be paid their salaries.
