Hon. Addo Donkor Everson, District Chief Executive for Techiman North in the Bono East region has honored Mr. Thomas Ahima, a native of Offuman in his district and the first person to be awarded as National Best Farmer in Ghana by then President late J.J Rawlings in 1987.
During a visit to the residence of this Hero in Agriculture at Offuman, Hon. Addo Donkor who presented assorted items and some cash also said his visit seeks to recognize his tremendous efforts while he is still alive and also to encourage others to emulate his shining examples.
On his part, Mr Thomas Ahima who is currently in his 80s could not hide his joy for being remembered after 37 years of being awarded National Best Farmer and charged all Ghanaians especially the youth to embrace Agriculture to uplift the image of Ghana.
