“Stop putting fear in investors and the general public” -Former President Mahama told

The District Chief Executive for Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly, Mr. Samuel Addai Agyekum has challenged  Former President John Dramani Mahama to apprise Ghanaians on the security measures his government left behind that has been shattered by the NPP administration.

The Former President John Dramani Mahama over the weekend, accused the NPP government of failing to protect Ghanaians. He says Ghanaians now feel insecure in their own country.

It is in line with this, that the DCE is asking the Former President to let Ghanaians know the intervention he left behind that, the NPP government has destroyed as a result of which armed robbers and other violent criminals have become emboldened.

Mr. Addai is livid at the image being portrayed to the outside world by the Former President. He says the NPP government has initiated a number of measures to strengthen security institutions in the country.

He argues that the Former President got it all wrong as far as the security situation in the country is concerned. He insists the government is providing all necessary logistics to secure the country.

The DCE therefore wants Former President Mahama to cease peddling falsehoods about Ghana’s security.

The NPP government has not sacked the security men he recruited into the system, neither has it demolished all the police stations built by him nor the sophisticated equipment employed in tracking criminal activities.

He urges the Former President to rather assist with the situation instead of peddling fear.
