Over 150 orphans in Humijibre near Sefwi Bekwai in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality of the western north region have expressed profound gratitude to a Youth group in the area Awisia resere for putting smiles on their faces this Christmas.
The group donated rice, oil, soft drinks, cloths, dresses, shoes/sandals and an undisclosed amount of money to the underprivileged for the Christmas.
The beneficiaries called for God’s blessings on the donors.
Organizer of the group Mr. Sampson Adu explained the motive behind their benevolence saying they have registered all the children with the health insurance scheme. He also revealed that they have provided a plot of land with others donating cement and sand for the construction of a children’s home to serve the entire western north region.
They appealed to the western north regional minister Kingsley Aboagye Gyadu, MCE Alfred Amoah, well-meaning Ghanaians and institutions to come to their aid since the future of the children is of paramount concern.
