Save your thumbs for Nana Addo-Mama Pat rallies Asokwa residents

patricia_appiagyeiThe incumbent Member of Parliament for the Asokwa Constituency, Madam Patricia Appiagyei has rallied her constituents to preserve their thumbs for the upcoming general election.

According to her, the thumb will be the most influential part of the body as the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections drew closer.

Addressing a hugely impressive party event at the constituency office in Ahensan-Bonsuom as part of efforts of the National Women’s Wing to conduct voter education on how to properly cast their ballots, the ever-smiling legislator told residents to conduct themselves properly ahead of the polls.

She stressed that staying alive and being well before the polls is essential to enable them effect the change of government they so desire.

REASONS:
Elaborating on the reasons for the preservation of the thumb, Mama Pat as she is popularly referred to by constituents urged residents to change their present living conditions by voting for Nana Addo in the upcoming polls.

According to her, as a member of parliament she could not do more when the NDC had their leader as president.

”Since we operate an executive presidency you realized I could not help everyone who came to me for support or lobbied for a particular project you wished for in your area but I promise you that with Nana Addo as the president in 2017 we can do more to make Asokwa a highly prosperous constituency”, Mama Pat noted amid deafening cheers.

She stressed, ”even with such difficulties we are faced with in this incompetent NDC administration you bear me witness that those deserving of scholarships for their needy wards have had same, private and public schools that needed computers have also had their fair share”.

The MP disclosed that pregnant mothers who needed a good place to deliver will soon have their wish with the construction of an ultra-modern maternity block at the Kumasi South Hospital at Agogo to cater for that.

NATIONAL WOMEN’S ORGANIZER:
Addressing the gathering later, Madam Otiko Afisah Djaba rallied the women to lead the wave of change blowing in the country.

She noted women were the hardest hit by the current economic imbalances and therefore needed to show their abhorrence to it by voting against the National Democratic Congress(NDC) government.

According to her, the upcoming polls in December 7th presented the populace the chance to change course and bring into government a purposeful and truthful one which is being led by Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo.

She, therefore, urged the women not to waste any of their votes since the opportunity to bring back better health care, infrastructural developments and a buoyant economy was now.
