Reject NDC in 2020 for canvassing for “No” votes-Francis Adomako

Mr Francis Adomako, Ashanti Regional Organiser for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has asked Ghanaians to reject the opposition NDC in the 2020 polls for canvassing for a ‘NO’ vote in the upcoming referendum on December 17.

According to the visible NPP regional executive, the NDC is only showing traits of sabotage by their choice of NO.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer newspaper on Tuesday, Mr Adomako said the NDC was opposing the suggestion by the President so they check their popularity rate at the referendum by the number of NO vote that will be recorded.

He therefore advised the electorate to step out in confidence to vote YES in the upcoming referendum so that the decentralisation process will be deepened and also made to be partisan .

INTENTION:
Mr Adomako said the campaign for YES by the NPP was borne out of a good heart.

He noted that the President was also canvassing for a YES vote because he wants the best for the people.

Mr Adomako noted that the President intends that all tendencies that have the semblance on hypocrisy is removed from the body politic of Ghana.

This, he noted is because the district level elections in its current state are covertly fought on party lines and all district assemblies churn out partisan issues during deliberations.

“It is with this mindset that we curb hypocrisy from our body politic that the President wants us to remove the veil we have put on local elections so that clearly it becomes partisan going forward”, Mr Adomako stressed.

REJECTION:
Mr Adomako said with this good intention by the President there was no way the public should vote anything apart from endorsing the YES agenda.

He however noted that the NDC should rather be rejected in 2020 no matter the outcome of the DLE and the referendum on December 17.

The opposition party, Mr Adomako stressed has shown that they are against anything good for the ordinary Ghanaian.

He entreated the public to reject the NDC for their actions in both the upcoming referendum and the 2020 general elections.

“The NDC has shown it is not in support of anything progressive and therefore we as Ghanaians should demonstrate our displeasure against them in 2020 as we reject them as they are in the general elections”, Mr Adomako posited.
