Many Jehovah witness including children die every year because they refuse blood transfusions.
According to the Jehovah witnesses, faith will heal ailments although they don’t practice faith healing.
“This is a religious issue rather than a medical one. Also God views blood as representing life (Leviticus 17:14).Therefore the blood transfusion is avoided not only in obedience to God but also out of respect for him as the giver of life.”
This is according to a statement by a Jehovah Witness and former Assistant headmaster of the Asankrangwa Senior High School in the Western region; Mr.Kofi Achiaba Amoah to the host of Royal fm’s morning show Sir Rich on Royal 89.3fm.
According to him, thousands of doctors worldwide now use blood conservation techniques to perform complex surgeries without transfusions. Such alternatives to blood transfusion are used in the developing countries and are requested by many patients who are non Jehovah witness.
He further noted that there is the perception that the blood are treated however there can be some hindrances in which the treatment might not be perfect resulting to other infections on the one who has been transfused with it.
Yes it’s true dat blood transfusion is a disrespect 2 Jehovah n no circumstance should a religious personality transfuse blood, let me ask; mankind n Jehovah who will u listen 2?? it is being stated in d scriptures dat we shouldn’t consume blood!!(Act 15:20,28,29) some1 may ask dat blood consumption is different 4m transfusion isn’t it?? 2 make dis simple, if blood is being transfuse 2 a mankind it goes directly 2 d system is dat not so?? what about consumption? if some1 consume food where does d food enters? is it not d body(system)?. let get dis straight, if some1 has donated blood 4 u 2 consume will u? u won’t do such a tin.
