Mahama will be Ghana’s President who has contributed the least to fighting corruption if voted out- Egbert Fabille

egbert-faibillePresidential Staffer and aspiring Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram constituency, Sam George has re-emphasized the government’s committed to fighting corruption in the country.

Speaking on Joy Fm’s News File, Mr. Sam George revealed that RLG, Asontaba and some judgment debts owed Ghana have been paid which indicates that the government is doing enough to fight corruption.

He says as a result of Government’s efforts, Ghana’s place in global corruption perception index is gradually reducing.

Lawyer Egbert Fabille however believes government has done very little in combating corruption. According to him, retrieving of some judgment debts is not enough in the fight against corruption.

He added that government should show clear signs by prosecuting those who engage in corrupt practices if they want Ghanaians to believe that the leaders of Ghana are committed to fighting corruption.

Lawyer Egbert Fabille further stated that he will be convinced fully that the leadership of the country is doing enough in the fight when Ghana is not ranked on the list of corrupt countries in the world.

However, Sam George in his reaction reiterated that government’s ability to admit and reveal some corrupt practices are all indications of government’s efforts at combating corruption.
