A US-based Ghanaian academic has expressed great confidence in President Mahama’s seriousness and capacity to effect the changes that Ghana needs to develop.
Prof. Evans Kwesi Mensah; a leadership and Management Consultant says President John Mahama has shown seriousness since taking office after his electoral victory December last year.
“I have been in the country since the elections and you can see the man means business. You can literally see it under his eyes” he said adding that “President John Mahama doesn’t need your votes any more, he’s done. he will be a statesman after this. He wants people who are smart and dedicated to work with to leave a legacy. He wants the ministers to understand that it will not be business as usual.”
He advised the President’s appointees however not to disappoint him. He is of the firm belief that if the appointees of the President are worth their salt and put in the work, Ghana will be better off.
“In my view, the President hit the ground running and is doing his best, if his appointees come and disappoint him, that’s a different story” he said.
