Pope Skinny likens dancehall rising star XHILA ROY to Stonebwoy

Xhila RoyThe appearance of fresh Ghanaian dancehall kid Xhila Roy on Adom FM’s kasahari level has gotten music pundits talking as the programme host; Pope Skinny compares him to Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy.

Xhila Roy’s quest to promote his two street singles; Party Again and Trample Badmind took him to the studios of Adom FM where he battled four other contestants on Pope Skinny’s popular rap battle programme.

Listeners were even more dazzled when he was forced to switch his style to suit the hiphop beats he was presented in the first two rounds.

By the end of the second round, a marveled Pope Skinny expressed his amazement at his ability to match his contenders on their own hiphop turf and compared him to Stonebwoy saying; “Mo ama m’akayi stonebwoy those days time aa )ba kasari” which literally translates “you remind me of the days of stonebwoy on kasahari”.

After the final round, listeners were allowed to judge and Xhila Roy emerged winner in a tie with another contender pulling 4 votes each.
