Pop-up adverts making electronic salary validation unbearable-GES Staff

E-SPVSome staff of the Ghana Education Service have complained bitterly about Electronic Salary Payment Voucher (E-SPV); the online application used in validating payments to public sector workers.

They tell rawgist.com though the application is doing a very good job of ridding government payroll off ghost names, it has been taken over by advertisements.

They ask that the technical men behind the site take measures to ensure that the sensitive website which contains information about teachers, their qualifications and entitlements is not exposed to technical risks as is the situation currently.

The advertisements, pop up and takes over the page several times. Some open tabs of their own and keep re-directing the user to the ad page.

Dealing with the several adverts makes the validation process very cumbersome and time consuming.

Rawgist.com has witnessed the application at work and the pains and unnecessary drudgery of working with the intermittent advertisements.

The E-SPV is an electronic version of the manual salary payment voucher that must be validated by using the internet. It is strongly believed that the new payment voucher would help eliminate the systematic inefficiencies and leakages in the payroll system.
