Poetry made in Asanteman: GAW-Ashanti /Prince Foundation to host huge poetry festival in Kumasi

All is set for the biggest and most entertaining poetry event to be held in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

“Poetry made in Asanteman” is scheduled for 29th February, 2020 at the Africa Hall dining Hall at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and will start at 4pm.

The event which promises to be highly entertaining is a collaboration between the Ghana Association of Writers (GAW) and Prince Foundation Against Racism and Discrimination.

“Poetry made in Asanteman” will line up a battery of performers including poets, comedians, musicians, spoken word artists

Acting Organiser of GAW – Ashanti and founder of Prince Foundation Against Racism and Discrimination; Mr. Sam PrinceTachie told rawgist.com the event will start on time and is intended to spark the love of poetry and literature in the region.

He also said the Ashanti region has amazing talents which the event will help showcase.

He called on residents of the region and lovers of literary works to attend in their numbers to make the programme successful.

He also called on artists who want to perform to reach out and have their names added to the roll.
