The above photos were taken at the Adadiem Junior High school within the Suame Constituency. The school which has ugly looking walls, tattered roofing and ceiling, loosely held electrical wires and broken windows is also encroached upon heavily by mechanics who work during classroom hours knocking metals and producing undesirable sounds that affect the academic work of pupils.

The school which rawgist.com learns is the former school of the Minority Leader and MP for the area; Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu apart from the poor infrastructure also suffers a myriad of challenges including decreasing enrollment, inadequate teaching materials, inadequate furniture.

Pupils at the school explained how the classrooms get flooded during rains and added their voices in the call for help for their school.

rawgist.com noted the sorry state of the school when the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for the area, Yaw Brogya Genfi donated over 4000 mathematical sets, pencils and pens to BECE candidates in the constituency as part of efforts to motivate the candidates to up their performance in the forthcoming external exam. He also promised to sponsor 20 students’ admission fees into Senior High School.

rawgist.com urges authorities and philanthropists to rally to the support of the school and help renovate the building which beside being an eye-sore, also pose a significant risk to lives of the teachers and pupils.
