People living with disabilities are calling on President John Mahama to include at least two competent persons with disabilities in his appointment of assembly members.
The President by law appoints not less that 30% of Assembly members.
This according to the Federation will enhance decision making processes in the country.
The Federation has complained about the exclusion of its members from the affairs of the state saying the only time the government involves people living with disabilities in national affairs is when the issue directly concerns them.
Advocacy Officer for the Ghana Federation of Disabled, Isaac Tudun, tells rawgist.com the appointment of persons living with disabilities onto the assemblies must be given a consideration.
