OSP takes Ken Ofori-Atta off wanted list

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has taken former Finance Minister Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta off its list of wanted individuals after he provided a definite date for his voluntary return to Ghana.

In a statement released on February 18, 2025, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng announced that Ofori-Atta, who had been declared a fugitive on February 12, had now committed to returning to the country.

Previously, the OSP had listed him as wanted after he failed to specify a return date, despite being instructed to appear in person for questioning regarding alleged corruption and related offenses.

The OSP stated that Ofori-Atta, through his legal representatives, officially communicated his intended return, prompting a reassessment of his status. Consequently, his scheduled appearance has been adjusted to align with his confirmed arrival date.
