Osei Mensah woos U.S investors to Ashanti

Ghana Business News-The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah has told both US and US-based Ghanaian businessmen to visit the region to gauge the investment potentials that lie within it.

Mr Osei Mensah also urged them to take advantage of the many initiatives the Nana Addo government has introduced to invest in those they find worthy.

Addressing a business forum put together by the Asanteman Association in Denver, Colorado in the United States of America, Mr Osei Mensah said initiatives such as planting for food and jobs, one district one factory, one village one dam and the others are good areas they could invest in.

He also assured the businessmen and women of government’s support for those who decide to invest in these ventures.

‘’I urge that we take advantage of the business climate the NPP government has created back home in Ghana and invest in some of the initiatives so that together we can build up businesses that will be mutually beneficial to our peoples’’, Mr Mensah wooed.

PROSPECTS:

Highlighting the prospects in the Ashanti Region, the Regional Minister mentioned the availability of land for whatever project they would like to invest in.

He also stressed the human resource potentials in the region, adding issues of labor and experts to help in designing projects abound.

Mr Osei Mensah noted the Ashanti Region has a congenial atmosphere to incubate all manner of businesses.

The people in the region, he touted has a spirit of enterprise that supports every initiative one engages in to thrive.

‘’No one comes to Ashanti to start something and fail because the very people with their spirit supports initiatives to thrive’’, the Minister revealed to deafening applause.

OPPORTUNITIES:

Speaking to the media later after the summit, the regional minister disclosed one investor has expressed interest in setting up an aircraft maintenance workshop in Kumasi.

This, the Regional Minister noted will afford airline operators in Ghana opportunity to retool and have spare parts to replace worn out ones.

One other company owner, Mr Mensah hinted has expressed profuse interest in establishing a solar panel center where they would design panels to enable schools and universities utilize the solar power potential in the country.
