Nyonkopa Cocoa Ltd makes donation to Edwenase Rehabilitation Centre

Ghana Business News-Nyonkopa Cocoa Buying Ltd has donated food items worth Gh 4,700.00, to the inmates at Edwenase rehabilitation Centre.

Mr. Pious Vincent Abakah, Head of operations at Nyonkopa cocoa explained during the presentation that, the gesture formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities towards the welfare of the less privileged in the society.

He explained that his company has maintained a very good relationship for some time now and will continue to contribute to the welfare of those there.

He recounted how Nyonkopa cocoa previously renovated their washrooms and places of convenience to help improve sanitation and health at the center.

He disclosed that, the company has decided to adopt the Centre and would feed the inmates for the whole year to serve as a relief and also ensure that the burden on the management in feeding them is taken off.

He pleaded with other stakeholders, philanthropists and other Civil Society Organizations to remember the difficulties management are going through and come to their aid to enable them operate the center effectively.

Some of the items presented to the Centre include Washing Powder, two bags of Onions, six gallons of cooking oil, Tin Tomatoes, three bags of sugar, a bag of salt, two boxes of bar soap, a bag of maize, a ice chests to store food and drinking water and a box of fish.

Ebenezer Tetteh, the Senior Prefect of the Centre who received the items on behalf of the management, commended Nyonkopa Cocoa Buying Ltd for the kind gesture.

He said the items came at the right time when they needed them.

He pleaded with the management and staff of Nyonkopa Cocoa buying Ltd to keep remembering the inmates at the Center for assistance in other not to make the initiative a nine day’s wonder
