Nursing and Midwifery trainees excited as they receive allowances

nursesThe much awaited allowance for second and final year nursing and midwifery trainees has hit the individual bank accounts of many of them, a situation they are excited about.

Some students of the Mampong midwifery school tell rawgist.com they have had a painful long wait, not knowing whether or not they were going to receive their allowances.

Trainees of that institution were abused by their tutors for waving placards asking for their allowances when the President last visited Asante Mampong.

Many of the students who received their allowances on Friday were seen in groups discussing how the money was going to be utilized.

First year students of the various nursing training schools are however not going to receive allowances during their stay in school.

Many of the trainees had vowed in previous interactions with rawgist.com to vote out John Mahama and the NDC after they had concluded the allowances would not be paid. It is however unclear if the receipt of the cash would make any difference to how they feel about the government.
