The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah says the ruling NPP would be taking back the three parliamentary seats the NDC holds sway in the region.
Addressing members of the Nasara wing of the party in Kumasi on Sunday, Mr Mensah said the NPP had done enough for the people in the three areas of Asawase, Sekyere Afram Plains and Ejura-Sekyeredumasi.
These communities, the regional minister intimated had experienced and enjoyed the social intervention initiatives of the ruling party to make a decision out of same.
People in the three towns he mentioned had benefitted from the Free SHS, one district one factory as well other other programmes the party was implementing.
Swearing into office the over 30 campaign committee members, Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, Ashanti Regional Chairman of NPP charged the team to work hard.
He noted that the task of the Nasara is to win all people with Zongo extraction to the fold of the NPP.
Mr Boasiako popularly called Chairman Wontumi said the time was ripe for the Nasara wing to deliver Asawase, Sekeyere Afram Plains and Ejura-Sekyeredumasi seats to the NPP.
This, he noted was the only way the agenda 47 over 47 would be achieved by the NPP.
Alhaji Alidu Seidu, Parliamentary aspirant for the NPP in Asawase said the time to deliver the seat he will be contesting for was now.
He noted the Zongo communities had benefitted from the policies of the NPP than any other.
With the establishment of the Zongo Ministry and the creation of the Zongo Development Fund, Alhaji Seidu said most Zongo Youth have been resourced to be on their feet.
Arabic scholars and teachers have been receiving their funds, Alhaji Seidu noted.
He added that many have had the opportunity to continue schooling by applying to the scholarship secretariat for assistance.
