Aspiring Ashanti regional NDC Chairman; Joseph Yammin says the ruling New Patriotic Party came to power riding on lies.
Joseph Yammin who was speaking on Kumasi based Silver FM said “there is no way the NPP could have won power from a government that has accomplished so much for this country if not for lies”.
He asked the host to name 2 projects apart from the Emergency Centre at the Komfo Anokye Hospital that the NPP in her previous eight year tenure accomplished in the region. After some silence from the host, Yammin went ahead to list a litany of projects the Mahama-led NDC government undertook in the Ashanti region and emphasised the concomitant employment opportunities those projects carry.
“Now all they can do is apologize for their lies and renege on their promises to the people. This will also bring them quickly back to opposition”, he explained.
Infrastructural Projects are in themselves not economic development.
Ghanaians have seen many additions to the nation’s infrastructure but we have also noticed decrease in our livelihoods.
Whatever the NPP promised the people to win their votes is what the people are expecting to have at the end of time.
The NDC took the working investment capital from the people and left us in abject poverty and idleness.
The people will decide whether or not to renew their MANDATE or call in another party to GOVERN us and not the NDC as a party will do the selection.
