You are not a saint-Alhaji Sannie strips Rawlings naked

A leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, Alhaji Sannie Snr has asked the former president, Jerry John Rawlings to behave like a proper statesman rather trying to portray himself as a sinless saint.

According to him, the former president cannot claim to be flawless for him to at the least opportunity speak ill of people within the NDC party.

Speaking to Kofi Appiah, morning show host of Boss 93.7FM in Kumasi, Alhaji Sannie cautioned Mr Rawlings to desist from his public bashing of former NDC officials because he is not clean to do so.

He posited that the former president in his tenure as head of state committed wrongs and acts of corruption that does not allow him to malign others he claim to be corrupt.

‘’As a founder of our party as you claim there is no point taking to the cleaners your own children and party members anytime you feel is good for you’’, Alhaji Sannie jabbed.

SALVOS:
Firing salvos at another member of the party, Alhaji Sannie said Martin Amidu does not have the moral right to seek to speak on matters of the NDC party.

According to him, the former Attorney- General (AG) by his actions and writings pushed the NDC to opposition and therefore does not have the right to pontificate about its matters.

Alhaji Sannie, sounding furious, dared any member or former member to speak ill about former government appointees in the Mahama government, adding some of them were ready to come hard at those ingrates .

‘’Rather than helping to build a party you claim to love you are out in the street claiming the status of vigilante status to bastardize us’’, the NDC member stripped Amidu.

ADMONITION:
Alhaji Sannie admonished faithful members of the party to take heart and desist from threading the path of Mr Rawlings and Amartin Amidu.

This, he said would help the party to rebuild itself from within rather than through the public eye or space.

According to him, serious political parties conduct their reforms through internal structures and not on radio.

‘’The idea that we can help our party rebrand itself through public engagements such as radio interviews and banter is not a wise one but defeatist’’, Alhaji Sannie posited.
