I am not at loggerheads with the first lady-Solomon Nkansah

Solomon-NkansahNational Communications Director of the NDC, Solomon Nkansah has debunked rumors that he is at loggerheads with First Lady, Lordina Mahama.

Rumors in political circles have it that the first Lady is not in good terms with the NDC’s National Communicator over a move by the first lady to etch Solomon out of office.

But Solomon Nkansah told this reporter on Royal FM’s Morning Show that his detractors in the NDC who are jealous of his personality and exploits within the party may be scheming to disrupt both President John Mahama and his wife’s attention from appreciating him as a party worker.

“You know after embarrassing a competitor at work, in election or towards the struggle for political appointment, the defeated tries to avenge his or her defeat by spreading a rumor about the victor in a bid to bring him down and this may be one of them”, Solomon Nkansah explained.

Rumors are rife in the Prestea-Huni Valley Constituency in the Western Region that some personalities at the National Headquarters are jealous of Solomon Nkansah’s outstanding performance in his current post. Word out is that he is being tipped for a Deputy Ministerial position in the near future, a feat that may not go down well with some members of the NDC who are finding dubious means to soil his relationship with First Lady, Lordina Mahama.

“I am not in NDC for unmerited favor and that is why I am working assiduously to ensure a victory for my party and because you have provoked me with this question, you will soon hear of my visit to the First Lady”, he promised.

He says he got a lot of inspiration from Mrs. Mahama the first day he met her and has since been working to leave a lasting legacy by serving his party well and that he has no qualms with any minister in President Mahama’s government.

Asked about his party’s chances in the November 7 Elections, Solomon Nkansah said ”I see victory for the NDC”.
