No Bridge, No vote”-Disgruntled residents of Sefwi Dansokrom warn

The broken bridge

Disgruntled residents of Sefwi Dansokrom near Sefwi Bekwai in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality have appealed passionately to government to as a matter of urgency fix their deplorable bridge that links the communities to their farms and other villages at the banks of river Soro .

”Odikro” of Dansokrom Nana Kofi Kwayie explains that they have served notice of the deplorable state of their bridge to the MCE; Hon. Alfred Amoah and the MP Hon. Kingsley Aboagye Gyadu for a possible solution but nothing good has since been achieved.

Nana stated emphatically that if nothing is done about the current state of the bridge no politician should step foot there to campaign for 2020 elections.

Speaking with Awuku Addo; a reporter at Henex Radio located at Bibiani, some of the residents said the problem has persisted for about 20 years and nothing positive has been done about it despite numerous complaints lodged with the authorities.

Moreover cocoa farmers there cried that their cocoa beans and other farm produce will continue to get rotten as the rains continue unless the bridge is fixed.

They recounted that a woman nearly got drowned trying to use the broken bridge. They insist they will not participate in any elections until the bridge is fixed.
