Nigeria controls Ebola spread despite heightened global concern

ebola deathAs fear of Ebola virus continues to heighten across the West Africa sub region, Nigeria appears to have the whole situation under control.

Africa’s most populous country recorded its first case of ebola in late July after an American man traveled to Lagos from Liberia with the disease.

Others who came into contact with the man including some health workers got infected. Nigeria has since managed to keep the spread of the disease under control limiting infections to just fewer than 20.

Over the same period the disease has spun out of control in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
