Nhyiaeso NPP MP buys 11 cars for constituency

The youthful Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso, Hon Kennedy Kwasi Kankam has purchased eleven cars for the NPP constituency branch.

Speaking at an official ceremony to out-door the cars as well as meet with the polling and constituency executives at True Vine hotel Friday morning, the legislator noted that the welfare of members is priority to him.

He said the eleven cars with each belonging to an electoral area would be used as taxi and its revenue used to attend to emergency as well as welfare issues in the elite constituency.

Draped in the colours of the NPP with portraits of himself and the President, Nana Addo on each of its sides, the good speaking youthful MP stressed that the gesture was part of a comprehensive package he has for the constituency and its people.

‘’I decided to buy these comprehensively insured cars comprising of KIA Sorento and Daewoo Matrix to enable the party use same for taxi so that welfare issues as well as emergencies can be taken care of without party members contributing from their pockets’’, Hon Kankam calmly stated.

OTHER INITIATIVES:

The MP mentioned plans for the constituency and noted that a secondary school will be built in October to provide admission for 500 SHS students every academic year.

A CHP compound project, he mentioned is nearing completion at Dakwodwom to provide access to health care to people in the locality.

The MP also mentioned plans to re-roof the Sokoban community center after repair works on the project is completed by the consultant and contractor.

He mentioned that 193 people from the constituency had gotten employment on the afforestation programme as 450 others are also benefitting from the NABCO module.  143 residents had also been recruited into the Community Policing module all through his initiative, the MP stated.

‘’I want to assure the good people of Nhyiaeso that I am committed to serving them and will do all I can to tackle education, jobs, roads, sanitation, welfare and health needs of constituents as I strive to make Nhyiaeso a model constituency for others to emulate’’, Hon Kankam passionately stressed.

OTHERS:

Speaking succinctly at the ceremony, Mr George Kofi Adjei (GEOKAD), Constituency Chairman for Nhyiaeso NPP commended the MP for the gesture.

He noted it was never a bad idea that constituents unanimously endorsed him as MP for the area since everything happening in Nhyiaeso shows the MP is a man of the people.

‘’I am happy that some of us stood for Hon Kennedy Kankam to become MP and we are sure that what we are seeing with the purchase of a bus, taxis as well as the construction of schools, CHP compound and roads are just a tip of what he has in mind for us and I urge all of us to show him the support he needs to fulfill his vision for the constituency’’, the Chairman appealed.

NPP REGIONAL ORGANISER:

Dumbfounded by the gesture, the Ashanti regional organiser of the NPP, Francis Adomako asked all MPs in the region to emulate the gesture of the Nhyiaeso legislator.

He noted that party members are motivated to work when they realize those they work for in the party also recognizes their bit by providing them with the needed incentives.
