NDC serial callers resume work conditionally after meeting party leaders

NDC Serial callers in the Ashanti region have rescinded a strike action they embarked upon at the beginning of the week.

The NDC Ashanti Media Monitors Association last Sunday after a meeting decided to stay off all radio and TV political engagements until some grievances of theirs are resolved.

They demanded a meeting with the top hierarchy of the party without which they will continue to smedia-monitorshirk their work for the NDC and her government.

The serial callers are however back to work after a meeting with party leadership. “Many promises were made to us and we are returning to work based on these promises and hope that the leaders of our party will keep their promises within a stipulated time or else, we will relapse into another boycott of political activity”, Chairman of the Media Monitors Abdul Latif Abdullahi (Julius Aghahowa) told rawgist.com in an interview and added that many of the members of the Association are still not happy with the decision to work based on promises due to past experiences.

“We apologize to our members who were not happy with the decision. What we did was in the interest of the party and we thank God our leaders also showed concern and seem willing to find solutions to our problems”, he added.
