The General Overseer of the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) has expressed appreciation to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for showing respect to the clergy.
This show of respect for the clergy, he stressed is godly since they watch and pray as well as seek for the Nation’s welfare.
Though he admitted it is the duty of every good Pastor to pray for elected political leaders, he noted it is better when you know those you are praying for respects you for the work you do.
Speaking to the church’s congregation last Sunday in Kumasi as he launched the church’s annual Thanks-giving day which falls on the 24th of December, Pastor Obeng intimated the respect he has for the president for always showing reverence to God and the clergy.
‘’I have come to learn from a close source how the president has enormous respects for us and it is even more humbling to learn that he has decided to sack any minister who will dare speak against any servant of God’’, Pastor Obeng revealed.
Explaining the importance of giving to the Church, the CCC leader mentioned giving shows one’s absolute trust in God.
According to him, giving shows that one respects God and sees him as his provider of the resources he or she has.
Pastor Obeng stressed it was necessary for Christians to show God he is source of their wealth by first yielding their lives to him wholly and giving to support his work.
Giving, he noted shows humility towards God and portrays that one has absolute trust in him to provide all his or her needs.
The CCC overseer reiterated that giving preserves one’s life when it is done genuinely without compulsion from any Pastor or Minister of the Gospel.
According to him, David in the Bible willingly gave to God and it was something that ensured his lineage was preserved by God to inherit the throne of Israel.
God, he revealed also protects and guards the life and property of people who give to support his Kingdom.
According to him, the art of giving shows the real heart of a man, adding the church can only show its desire for God by giving to support his work.
