“My being a man of God is not a joke, it’s a serious part of who I am” -Yammin

My being a man of God is not a joke, it’s a serious part of who I am-Yammin

A functionary in the erstwhile John Mahama administration Joseph Yammin has confirmed his identity as a minister of the Gospel.

In an interview Bernard Buachi of www.rawgist.com, Mr. Yammin confirmed that he is an ordained Minister of Gospel. He says he has been very active in the propagation of the Gospel for a long time and even minister at various Christian events. He however says he does not pastor a church because his current activities and schedules will not permit him.

He chastised people who poke fun at his pastoral identity and explained that it is predominantly NPP members who make mockery of his religious stature and questioned their mindset. He recalled that some prominent members of the NPP including Mr. Mike Ocquaye (former Speaker of Parliament) and S.K. Boafo (former Ashanti regional minister) are also Ministers of the Gospel, “yet no one finds it funny”.

Mr. Yammin is known to be an unrepentant and important member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who has sparked a number of controversies in his political life.
