MTN partners aYo to make insurance easy and accessible to all

Ghana news–A partnership between MTN and aYo has made insurance as easy as ABC.

The service called “Recharge with Care” involves a deduction of 2 cedis per month from subscribers’ credit.

A subscriber is entitled to 3,000 Cedis life insurance cover and 50 Cedis per night spent at the hospital in times of sickness.

“Recharge with care” was launched in Kumasi on Thursday amidst great reception from people who otherwise could not afford to hold any kind of insurance policy.

Head of Technical Services for MTN’s Northern Business District; Charles Osei-Akoto explains to rawgist.com’s Bernard Buachi that the system does not involve any cumbersome processes. “It is flexible and easy to operate as it provides various options for subscribers”, he explained. He revealed that the deductions are made in bits hence making payments easy for the subscriber. He also says payments of claims are made via MTN mobile money and hence saves subscribers the task of moving to and from an office several times for claims.

He called on all and sundry to sign up for “Recharge with Care”.
