The items which included a ram, bags of rice, bottles of soft drinks, packs of bottled water, boxes of cooking oil, recharge cards were meant to refresh Muslims as they break their month-long Ramadan fast.

Ag. General Manager for the Northern Business District of MTN ; Simon Amo told rawgist.com the donation is a yearly ritual meant to strengthen the bond between the telecommunications giant and their Muslim customers. He prayed the relationship continues to grow from strength to strength.

He also used the opportunity to encourage all to pray for victims of the devastating COVID-19 pandemic and also for the eradication of the disease from the earth.

He stressed the need for all to follow the laid down protocols to prevent the spread of the dreaded disease.

The Ashanti Regional Chief Imam; Sheik Abdul Mumin Haroun who received the items along with a team of Islamic leaders was full of gratitude for MTN and prayed that Allah will protect them from the ongoing devastation and help their business to thrive against all odds.
