MP injects cash into about 500 businesses

The Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso constituency, Mr. Kennedy Kwasi Kankam has resolved to financially revitalize about 500 businesses in the constituency.

Each business is to receive a cash amount of at least 1000 Ghana cedis.

Some have already received the cash that would enable them expand their business operations. He has therefore instructed his Bankers to disburse the remaining funds to the rest of the beneficiaries latest by Monday, 20th May, 2019.

To him, entrepreneurship is key to transforming the economy, and the general well-being of the masses, hence, his quest to resource them financially to enable them expand their businesses.

“We need to support the local businesses to grow up and be run with strategic planning and development” he stressed.

Speaking on Oyerepa 100.7 FM breakfast show on Thursday with the Host, Nana Kwadwo Jantuah, he said it is instructive to note that, many of our small businesses are folding up and it is time for us as Members of Parliament to lead the way in getting these businesses fully operational.

He has observed that many people in his constituency have good business ideas but the start-up capital to operationalise such ideas are unavailable; a situation he says requires collective effort to deal with.

“We need to tap into these business ideas by equipping and retooling these individuals to the advantage of the country”

“If we are able to position the local businesses, it would give some kind of relief to members of Parliament and the government,” he said.

Mr. Kankam advised the beneficiaries to seek expert advice on good account keeping records, which will position the latter to access loans from financial institutions for future purposes.
