Manhyia South MP blasts journalists for painting NPP “black”

SOME JOURNALISTS HAVE BEEN PAID TO PAINT NPP BLACK—–NAPO ALLEGES.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh; MP for Manhyia South

Energy Minister and Member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency, Dr Matthew Opoku-Prempeh says some journalists in the Ashanti Region had been paid to paint the NPP in bad light.

He noted that it is the very reason despite monumental works by government some media outfits adamant in trumpeting same for people to hear and see.

Addressing the people of Suame during the group breaking ceremony for the construction of the proposed 4 tier interchange for the area and its environs, Dr Napo said he has information that some media personalities in some media houses had been paid to say negative things about the government and NPP.

He noted that the NPP had delivered so much to the people of Ashanti and that the media should even lead the way of commending the government particularly the President for same.

“I know some journalists have been paid to paint the NPP in bad light and this is why they do not say anything good about these monumental projects done by the NPP and the President “, Dr Napo alleged.

APPRECIATION:
Dr Napo said just as Otumfuo told the President, Ashanti had been given a fair share of developmental projects.

He therefore wondered how some people despite this public show of commitment to the development of Ashanti by the President could still say nothing has been done.

Dr Napo stated that those who show appreciation are sure to have more projects because they would be seen to be smart.

“In our Ashanti culture the person who shows appreciation gets more favours because he is seen as wise”, Dr Napo stated.

RALLY:
Dr Napo rallied the people of Suame to stay committed to the NPP and the government.

He said more development projects would be coming to the enclave because of the interchange construction.

Dr Napo used the opportunity to thank the President for his generous offer to the people of Ashanti.

“Mr President some of us are appreciative of your kindness and we say thank you hoping that more would come to us”, Dr Napo stressed.
