Man bolts, driver and mate arrested over weed luggage

Police in the Eastern region are still investigating after a driver and a mate were arrested over a bag of indian hemp found in their car.

Police sources tell rawgist.com Police in Adukrom intercepted a sprinter bus with registration number ER 1358-17 on 12th January, 2018. Whiles the vehicle was being checked, one of the passengers bolted out. A traveling bag believed to be his was found during the search containing a quantity of compressed dried leaves suspected to be indian hemp concealed in a white fertilizer sack neatly taped.

The driver explains that he picked the man on his way to Accra.

The driver; Felix Adu aged 58 and his mate; Samudini Seidu aged 30 have since been detained, the vehicle impounded and the exhibit retained for investigations.
