Mamponteng chief commends Nana Addo

Nana Saasi Ayeboafo II, Chief of Mamponteng, has commended His. Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo and his government for his life transforming vision for the country.

He says the government’s programmes and initiatives for the past one year is enough demonstration that Nana Addo and his government have what it takes to transform the economy.

Speaking as chairman of the inaugural ceremony of upgrading of the Kwabre East District to Municipal status, he observed that, the vision of the creation of New Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) is a clear indication that the government is determined to bring development to the doorsteps of the citizenry, and deserves commendation.

He mentioned the Free Senior High School programme as one of the best to benefit every Ghanaian irrespective of political orientation.

He called on the electorates to remain united and support their Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and Member of Parliament to ensure that the municipality has its fair share of the national cake in terms infrastructural development.

Mr. Owuraku Aiddo, Deputy minister of Energy and Petroleum and Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwabre West who represented the President at the ceremony, said the creation of New districts would create equal opportunities and prosperity for country.

Ms. Francisca Oteng, MP for the Kwabre East, commended the previous MP and DCE, Kofi Frimpong and Adisa Adams respectively for making it possible to upgrade the district to now Municipality.

Nana Osei Asibey Bonsu, MCE for the area commended Nananom and the previous MP and DCE for their contribution in the development and the upgrading the district to know municipality.
