Mahama releases GH¢10m to aid young entrepreneurs

A woman holds 03 July 2007 in Accra a waThe President, John Mahama has released GH¢10 million to assist the youth in Ghana to start up small and medium scale businesses.

He made this announcement in a post on his Facebook page in which he said: “As part of the “Made-in-Ghana” campaign, I have made available GH¢10 million to enable youth to start up small and medium scale businesses.”

The President since the beginning of this year has been advocating for increased patronage of made in Ghana products to boost the country’s economy and consequently provide jobs.

In his Independence Day address, President Mahama urged Ghanaians to make everyday ‘Made in Ghana Day.’

In the statement, he called on young entrepreneurs saying, “if you have a plan and if you are determined to make your ideas come to life, please seize this opportunity.”

“The future belongs to the brave and bold,” he added.
