Mahama lauds TOR MD and staff over sacrifices to revive TOR

Kingsley-Awuah-DarkoPresident John Mahama has hailed the sacrifices of Acting Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery as well as staff for their sacrifices which has led to the reviving of the refinery.

Delivering the State of the nation address, President John Mahama revealed that staff of the once defunct refinery voluntarily agreed to a 20% pay cut as their contribution towards the reviving of the national asset.

“TOR, I’m pleased to announce is operational and is poised to resume its strategic role in petroleum production in Ghana”.

He saluted the MD of TOR; Kwame Awuah-Darko and his staff for bringing back TOR into operation. He also announced that the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport Company (BOST)  has also started supplying petroleum to land-logged neighbours from the company’s Bolgatanga depot.
