LightHouse Chapel, Assemblyman sponsor screening Exercise for Ahinsan Residents

The Light House Chapel International (LCI) in conjunction with the Assemblyman and unit committee members of the Ahinsan-Estate electoral area last Sunday organized a free medical screening for residents in the famous community.

There was also a football gala for community groups in the electoral area with the winning group taking home a glittering trophy donated by the Assemblyman, Nana Yaw Wiredu.

Ailments treated for the 2, 500 who participated in the exercise blood pressure, breast cancer, malaria, diabetes and others.

Speaking at the start of the exercise, Reverend Fosuhene Peasah, Ahinsan-Estate Branch Head of LCI commended the doctors and medical staff from Allen Clinic and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for their time consciousness and diligence.

‘’I am grateful to the Assemblyman and the unit committee members for deciding to prioritize the health of their people over everything. I also see committed doctors and medical staff from these two institutions whose preoccupation was to give us good care’’, Rev Peasah stated.

ASSEMBLYMAN:

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper, Nana Yaw Wiredu, Assemblyman for Ahinsan-Estate commended residents for the massive participation.

He noted that the best form of life is to be healthy and fit in everything one does.

Nana Yaw commended the LCI for the support the church gave his outfit and the unit committee in organizing such a godly exercise.

The Assemblyman tasked the public to undertake regular checks at the hospital so as to maintain their fitness and also remedy any issue that may be arising out of their bodies.

‘’I commend the Church and my unit committee members for offering support for this medical exercise as well as the football gala so as to ensure our people maintain their fitness and also entertain themselves’’, Hon Wiredu stressed.

PARTICIPANTS:

Baffoe Affum, a resident at the community told GO that he was happy to have participated in the screening exercise.

He said it is difficult for him to access care at the hospital since he is not working at the moment.

Fati Adamu, a middle-aged lady thanked the church and the Assemblyman for the initiative and urged it to be repeated so as to enable the sick and needy to have avenue to test for the health status.
