Learn from Ghana Nuts CEO-Chiraahene calls on natives to help develop community

Well placed natives of the Bono Region are being called home to help fast-track the development of the region.

Chiraahene; Nana Minta Afari II made the call at Chiraa in the Sunyani West District of the Bono Region during the opening of an ultra-modern Out-Patient Department built by a selfless native of the town.

The Chiraahene, who is also the Benkumhene of Dormaa Ahenkro expressed immense gratitude to Mr. Obed Asante for his selfless contributions towards the development of the town and renamed him “Boaman Obed Asante.

He encouraged others to emulate his example and help develop the town and the region as a whole.

The OPD was also designed as an emergency unit and has a furnished operating theatre, a male and female ward, 2 consulting rooms which are all fully furnished with office furniture and hospital equipment including one Anaesthesia machine from Germany, health monitors, beds, wheelchairs, stretchers amongst others.

Medical Superintendent of the Chiraa Health Centre; Dr. Derrick Kumi Frimpong assured that the new facility will be put to very good use in order to make it beneficial to the people. He assured that he is working closely with various stakeholders to achieve his mandate of uplifting the Chiraa Health Center to become a major referral center in the region.

He appealed to philanthropists and other humanitarian organizations to help them with a laboratory, wards and machines for neonatal care.

The Philanthropist; Boaman Obed Asante who is also CEO of Ghana Nuts Company Limited in Techiman explained that he is moved to help out of his own experiences with poverty and hardship during his childhood.

Boaman Obed Asante, who has already procured an ambulance for the hospital also stated that he is considering ways to make medical care at the facility free for the poor.

Information available to rawgist.com is that the Philanthropist has constructed a stretch of road worth app. GHC400,000 in Techiman, expanded and adopted the children’s ward of the Holy Family Hospital in Techiman, Supported the Techiman Science and Math Quiz initiative extensively and also obtained fire tenders that augment those that serve the Municipality.
