“Keep us on our toes” MTN CEO urges customers at soiree

MTN Ghana is investing over 160 million Dollars into her operations this year. This amount will cover technology development and infrastructure. Last year, MTN invested about 144 million Dollars into her operations.

This was revealed by CEO of Ghana’s largest Telecommunication company; MTN at a soiree held in Kumasi for customers.

Mr. Selorm Adadevor stressed MTN’s resolve to give customers the best of telecommunication and data experience.

He said the year 2019 has been declared “Year of the Customer” at MTN and encouraged the customers to strive to keep MTN on her toes by giving them feedback as they have done in the past. “Keep us on our toes so we can do better” he said and added that “We want to ensure that basic services are up to standard”.

Giving Back

He said MTN will continue to give back to her customers wherever they find themselves. He used the occasion of the soiree to highlight some of the projects MTN has undertaken in the Ashanti region. He mentioned the refurbishment of Asante Kotoko SC’s training park at Adako Jachie which he says has cost 540,000 Cedis. He says there is a little more work that needs to be done and explains that it will be launched once completed. He also says MTN has been sponsoring Asante Kotoko with about a Million Ghana Cedis a year for the past two years.

He touched on an ultra-modern palm oil processing facility commissioned on Friday to service over 200 processors at Juaso.

TurboNet boxes

The CEO also revealed that MTN TurboNet  which is being piloted have sold over 7000 boxes already; a feat that the company is excited about.

MTN TurboNet is a plug and play super high speed 4G internet router. It comes with a high-powered external antenna and data SIM that enables it to deliver fast internet in MTN 4G locations.

TurboNet provides instant high speed internet for up to 32 users at the same time. To enjoy the service, Users location must be within MTN’s 4G coverage. TurboNet is suitable for home or office use.

Soiree

The Soiree is an annual event that started in 2015 to celebrate customers of MTN. The theme for this year’s soiree was “African Safari”

which sort to showcase the rich African culture showcased by the Ashanti region.

The event was graced with entertaining performances from a variety of performers. There was also a lot to eat and drink.

Customers who showed up early at the event were awarded with the latest iphones and Samsung phones. Other attendees were also allowed to enter a draw where they picked assorted prices.

Customer Services Executive at MTN; Jemima Kotei Walsh in an interaction with rawgist.com was sure that customers will see improved services with the infusion of more investments into the company’s operations.

She was grateful to the customers and said that MTN considers them partners in the business and will continue to give back to them and support their businesses.
