Keep quiet if you have nothing for the Youth – Pablo told

One of the outspoken NPP female communicators in the Ashanti region; Miss Gertrude Asamoah Ampong has launched a scathing attack on the National youth organizer of the NDC; Mr. George Opare Addo for mocking the yet to be introduced NPP Rent allowance for the Youth.

Mr. Opare Addo is reported to have kicked against the proposed Program; ‘’Rent Allowance for the Youth’’. He is challenging the NPP to create more decent Jobs for the Youth instead of taking the lazy man’s approach.

According to Opare Addo, the youth are demanding better and secured employment but not rent allowance fee.

Gertrude however believes the NPP has Ghanaian youth at heart, hence, this huge relief to them. She argued that, “we have people in the public sector who struggle to raise two years rent advance though they are in the public sector” and added that “this is one of the best policies that will give huge relief to all”.

“Quite apart from that, the NPP government has absorbed more youth into the public sector, than what the NDC left behind. In any case, have you heard of any unemployment graduate association under this regime? This clearly affirms the commitment of the NPP government to providing shelter for all”.

She is therefore challenging the National Youth Organizer of the NDC to pinpoint one single youth intervention, that they implemented and that impacted the youth in this country.

“They had the opportunity to rule for 8 years, were they able to give them better jobs as he is proposing to the NPP? If they had given them decent and better jobs, I don’t think the NPP would have come out with the Nation Builders Corps to absorb thousands of graduates who were languishing in the house”, she stated.

She appealed to the Youth of Ghana to trust the NPP, since, the NPP government would do everything possible to impact their lives.

She also asked them to retain the NPP in power to enable the government implement the Rent Allowance Scheme for them.
