According to her, students trek miles every day to school and this is affecting their performance, hence, the swift move to assist such students.

The program is aimed at providing relief to pupils who commute long distance to school and end up missing morning lessons, she said.

She solicited the Bamboo bicycles from an NGO through the education directorate to be distributed among the disadvantaged students.

Mrs. Pomaa is convinced the donation will impact positively on their performance.

She commended Bright foundation for partnering her and helping her get the bicycles. She said the NGO will be engaged to train the youth in how to repair and also build bamboo bicycles from scratch.
