John Kumah, supported by others cut sod for construction of constituency office

Lawyer John Ampontuah Kumah joined by Ejisu Nkosuohene and Nana B to cut the sod for construction of the New Patriotic Party constituency office

Lawyer John Kumah Ampontuah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary hopeful for Ejisu last week was joined by party executives as well as chiefs and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of some State Agencies to cut the sod for construction of a party office at Ejisu.

The office complex when completed would serve as the constituency office of the Party.

Speaking at an elaborate sod cutting ceremony at Ejisu, Lawyer Kumah who doubles as the CEO of NEIP thanked the Nkosuohene of the area for releasing the parcel of land for the construction of the constituency office.

The NPP PC also disclosed that the contractor of the project would complete the building in 6months time.

He noted that Ejisu by virtue of its history and the support it has offered to the party during elections deserved a befitting edifice to enable officers discharge their duties effectively.

MCE:
Madam Serwaah Derkye, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu commended the NEIP CEO for the vision for the constituency.

She noted that the famous Ejisu constituency and community needed such an office to coordinate party activities and operations.

Madam Derkye rallied other NPP members as well as parliamentary hopefuls across the country to provide similar support to the party.

She stressed that effective collaboration between members of the party and executives was important to facilitate the activities of the NPP.

CONSTITUENCY CHAIRMAN:
Mr S.O Frimpong, Constituency Chairman for the Ejisu NPP lauded the generosity of the Nkosuohene in releasing the land for the project.

The act of the Chief shows how important the activities of the party was to the traditional council, the Chairman intimated.

Mr Frimpong expressed his appreciation to the party’s PC for deciding to build a modern office for the constituency.

He noted that it was a promise the PC made before he won the right of the party as its candidate but noted that it was fulfilling seeing him move into full action with that promise.

DONORS:
Donating to support the building project, Mr John Boadu and Sammi Awuku, national secretary and organiser of the NPP respectively provided 100bags of cement.

Henry Nana Boakye, National Youth Organiser of the party also promised 200 bags of cement for the project.

Also gracing the occasion to offer support were Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, CEO of Youth Employment Agency (YEA) as well as Francis Adomako, Ashanti Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party.
