Independent candidate in 2012 elections says he would be a strong force to contend with in 2016

jacob-osei-yeboahIndependent presidential candidate in the 2012 general elections, Jacob Osei Yeboah has told LIVE NEWS he is taking the necessary steps to ensure he emerges a formidable force in the 2016 elections.

Since the return to democracy in 1992 no independent Presidential candidate has been able to garner mass support among the electorate to enable them win an election or even come closer to winning.

In the last elections in 2012, Jacob Osei Yeboah who was the only independent candidate on the presidential ticket managed only 0.14 percent of total votes cast placing him in seventh place out of a total of eight candidates who contested.

However, speaking to live news Jacob Osei Yeboah says Ghanaians are awakened by the current economic difficulties they have been put through by the Mahama-led administration. This he believes would boost his chances to receive massive endorsement in the 2016 elections which he intends to contest.
