The incumbent Member of Parliament for the Manhyia North Constituency, Hon Collins Owusu Amankwah says he is unperturbed by the massive internal orchestrations against his second term bid because he was focused like the flint.

Addressing delegates and party supporters at a general meeting at Krofuom after touching down from a short duty tour of Germany and Holland as head of the Commonwealth Youth Parliament, the youthful legislator stressed that he was focused on everything he was doing.

He noted that despite the numerous postponement of the constituency parliamentary polls in the constituency there was nothing that would discourage him.

RESOLVE:
”I am confident of securing a massive win at the primaries if it is held today because I know the kind of trust my constituents have in me”, Hon Amankwah posited.

He, however, in a tearful tone recounted incidents that had been orchestrated against him by some ‘evil minds’ including the latest which resulted in an assault.

But, he mentioned his decision to let go these frustrations so as to enable him focus on the job he is paid to do for the constituency and the New Patriotic Party, (NPP ).

CHARGE:
He charged party members not to resort to violence in settling whatever misunderstanding they may have with one another.

According to him, no house will survive when it is continually set apart by fights, bickering and violence.

”Just as the Bible says no house will stand when it is divided against itself”, the MP recalled.

He stressed,’ if there is any fight then it should be against the ruling National Democratic Congress, (NDC) who continues to afflict the Ghanaian people with poverty and hopelessness with bad leadership ‘.

TARGET:
The MP disclosed the Manhyia North constituency was currently working on the ground to securing 80 percent of the popular votes for the party’s flagbearer,Nana Akuffo Addo.

He pledged to work with both delegates and constituents whom he described as faithful residents to ensure the target becomes a reality.

He promised to retain the parliamentary seat for the NPP and called on delegates to endorse his candidature when the date is fixed for the conduct of the primary in the constituency.
